Smola, Adam ; Salač, Vladimír (advisor) ; Frank Danielisová, Alžběta (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the gold in the late Iron Age. The aim is a comprehensive description and summarization of current natural scientific and archaeological knowledge of mining, processing and use of the gold in the late Iron Age, with emphasis on the Czech territory. The work consists of three parts. The first part focuses on the geology of gold. The second part is devoted to mining archeology, and the third relates to gold in the context of the late Iron Age in Bohemia. In conclusion, there are proposed areas that need attention if we look for the direct evidence of precious metal mining in the late Iron Age. An important part of this work is to inform the Czech professionals with the not well kown but more unique achievements of French archeology in proving mining gold in a similar environment and cultural terms and time frame. The work should serve as a basis for the further research a bring the theory into practice. KEY WORDS: late Iron Age, gold mining, settlement, archeology of gold mining
